How you can improve your writing success in 2022
An update on my resource set, plus freelance writing tips/resources/etc that can help you achieve your goals!
Hi writers and friends!
Housekeeping
Happy 2022 :) We made it!
As you may have noticed, I moved my newsletter to Substack. You’ll get the same content monthly and for free, just in a different format!
More of my content: (1) My writing Twitter // (2) my portfolio
Feedback from you: (1) For the newsletter // (2) For the resource set
Side note: My newsletter usually isn’t this long, so bear with me, please! :)
My New Year’s Message to You
This year, I encourage you to set goals that are specific to your values.
Some people want or need to make lots of money.
But others may want to focus on new bylines.
And others may want more free time for family and friends.
Some may want a mix of the three or something else entirely.
You don’t have to aim for goals that don’t fit your life and desires.
And all the while, remember to take care of yourself. You can set goals about resting more or pushing yourself less, too — and that’s perfectly OK.
Update on My Resource Set—and Why You Need It This Year
As I mentioned in my last newsletter and on Twitter, the cost of my resource set has increased.
This is because of the tremendous value of the information, as well as some new content/opportunities I’m adding, such as:
Editing services
Extra coaching sessions, via phone or email
Personalized help to fit your needs (research on what pubs would best fit your niche, etc)
More details on what the resource set entails and how to buy it are here.
And here’s a little about me and my success to give me some credibility (lol):
I have a degree in journalism and media from UNC-Chapel Hill (a highly ranked university for journalism!)
My work is published in HuffPost, PopSugar, HelloGiggles, Rewire (a PBS pub), and several other publications you can see here.
I’ve written several viral articles on Medium that have made thousands of dollars and received over 40K views (here’s last year’s info on that).
I work part-time hours and make enough money to live comfortably. (And I’m super thankful and blessed in that way!)
This resource set has exactly what you need to have similar success. I’m talking:
Editors’ emails
Publications’ guidelines and rates
Endless examples of my best writing tips and how I went viral
Insider details on certain high-tier publications
Newsletters that helped me hear about special opportunities
Encouraging reminders that helped me not give up
Etc etc!
It’s taken me months to put the set together, so buying it will save you time and effort. The price is now $18 (which is well worth it, I promise!).
Let me know if you have any questions :)
Now on to my usual content because being a businesswoman is a lil awkward for me, haha!
